Manchester United are eyeing their second league win this season ahead of their trip to face Southampton at the weekend. Manchester United on TV was a feature as the Red Devils surprisingly beat Liverpool at home to get their first league win of the season. Manchester United scored a goal in each half on the way to a 2-1 victory over Liverpool at the Theatre of Dreams for their first win of the season. The Red Devils had lost their first two Premier League games this season before they took on arch rivals Liverpool at home on Monday night. It must be pointed out that Manchester United on TV was a feature for their first two games in the league this season.

In their first Premier League game of the season, Manchester United were stunned 2-1 at home by Brighton and Hove Albion thanks to the brace from German star Pascal Gross. The midfielder scored twice in the first 45 minutes before the deficit was halved in the second half through the own goal from Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. For their second Premier League game of the season, Manchester United were humiliated by their London hosts, Brentford. The Red Devils were hammered 4-0 with all the four goals coming in the first half.

Manchester United won their first league game of the season thanks to the home win over Liverpool in the last set of games in the division, while next opponents Southampton also won their first league game of the season courtesy their 2-1 away win over Leicester City.
