Manchester United have the best winning sequence in the Premier League at the moment after winning their last four games in the competition ahead of the Manchester Derby clash with defending champions Manchester City next weekend.
Manchester United are in fifth spot on the Premier League table at the moment after they secured a win in each of their last four games in the competition. The four-game winning run came on the back of the two straight defeats suffered at the start of the season. Ten Hag left Ajax Amsterdam to sign for Manchester United as their manager and he started his managerial reign with defeats against Brighton & Hove Albion at home and London club Brentford away from home. German star Pascal Gross scored twice in the first half to lead Brighton to a 2-1 away win over Manchester United on the opening weekend of the season. The loss at home to the Seagulls was followed by the 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Brentford with all the goals scored in the first half just like what was obtainable with the Brighton game. Frenchman Brian Mbeumo was one of the goalscorers for the Bees.
Since the defeat against the Bees, Manchester United have beaten Liverpool (2-1 at home), Southampton (1-0 away from home), Leicester City (1-0 away from home) and Arsenal (3-1 at home).
